International Study Centre offers a range of courses
Courses at Leeds International Study Centre are designed to help you prepare for studying an undergraduate degree at the University of Leeds. There are two types of course we offer, with multiple pathways available in each.
Our International Foundation Year is designed to prepare students with the skills needed to undertake an undergraduate degree. These pathways focus on fully supporting you to start studying in the UK – offering preparatory modules to introduce you to key themes of the curriculum, while familiarising you with the British educational system. Your English language skills will also be improved upon, with an emphasis on teaching you how to write fluently and verbalise academic ideas well.
The International Year One will take you through your first year of study with additional direction and concentrated class sizes, preparing you to continue in the second year of an undergraduate degree. These pathways will employ the same teaching methods as the standard first year of the degree, but with added support appropriate for an international student. There will also be a focus on honing your language skills, both verbal and written, so you can confidently communicate and complete assignments with academic professionalism.
You can choose to study your programme on campus or study online from home. Find out more about preparing to study and choosing how you study your programme with us.
