Funding your undergraduate or postgraduate study

What kind of scholarships are on offer when progressing to the University of Leeds? 

Once you successfully complete your studies at the Leeds International Study Centre and progress to the University of Leeds, there are some subject-related scholarships available to undergraduate students. All of these scholarships require sufficient academic achievement for students to be eligible.

Eligible fields of study

The International  Undergraduate Science and Engineering Scholarship*

Leeds International Study Centre students progressing to the participating Science and Engineering schools and faculties are eligible for a £2,000 scholarship per year for up to a maximum of four years, subject to satisfactory progression. Terms and conditions apply.

*Eligible schools and faculties: Biological Sciences, Computing, Chemistry, Chemical and Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Earth and Environment, Food Science and Nutrition, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, Psychology.

The School of Law's International Undergraduate Scholarship

This is awarded to any first year international student who significantly exceeds the entry requirements – candidates from Leeds International Study Centre are considered on an individual basis once results are known. The process is automatic and the award is a fee reduction of £2500. Terms and conditions apply.

Faculty of Biological Sciences Dean's Excellence Scholarship

Leeds International Study Centre students can be considered for this award of £5000 which is automatically awarded to high achieving applicants. Terms and conditions apply.

School of Psychology's Head of School Excellence Scholarship

Leeds International Study Centre students can be considered for this award of £4000 which is automatically awarded to high achieving applicants. Terms and conditions apply.

Scholarship availability

The University of Leeds offer the above scholarships for UK/EU and international undergraduate students starting their undergraduate studies in September 2023. All of these scholarships have academic achievement as a key awarding criterion for eligibility.
