The University of Leeds has climbed from 101st
place in the QS World University Rankings 2019.
A home for international students
International outlook is one of the QS criteria. The University has demonstrated its global vision, scoring 84.6/100 for International Faculty and 81.6/100 for International Students.
The University is home to more than 8,000 students from more than 150 countries, creating a strong international environment.
Professor Hai-Sui Yu, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) said: “Leeds is a truly global university. We can contribute most effectively to sharing knowledge, innovation and education worldwide … It creates opportunities to widen horizons and bring new perspectives to education.”
Academic and employer reputation soars
Staff work constantly to improve the student offering. This year the University improved its score in two key QS measures:
- Employer reputation: up 13 places to 62nd
- Academic reputation: up 11 places to 89th.
Academic teams collaborate with other world-leading universities like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Shanghai Jiaotong University. Such partnerships provide extra opportunities for students to learn and make a real-life impact.
The University also jumped to the top 10 in the Guardian University Guide 2019 and in The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.
